A student from Aston University celebrated a double achievement recently as she graduated with a First Class Honours degree as well as clinching the prestigious ‘Achievement in Translation Award’ sponsored by Roevin Translation Services.

Catherine Johnson, a 28 year old mature student at Aston University’s School of Languages and Social Sciences, was presented with the Award by Liz Athey, Manager of Roevin’s Translation Division, for outstanding achievements in her Translation Studies Degree. The Award is an initiative developed by Dr Christina Schaeffner, Director of Translation Studies at Aston, together with Roevin. Dr Schaeffner highlighted the importance of the Award, stating “Forging links with translation companies is very important for Universities, to ensure we provide our students with the best possible preparation for today’s business world.”
Catherine has already secured a much sought-after position as a staff translator at the SAP organisation in Heidelberg.
